Any and all feedback would be great here:
“My new horse nudges me with his nose, knocking me backward a step. I feel no warmth coming from his muzzle. No warm breath escapes his nasal passage. He steps closer and nudges me a second time saying something like, “Come on won’t you play with me?” He reminds me of
a lonely little kid that no body picks for their team.
I don’t know if his bizarre disfigurement is the cause of this facade of affection. Likely it’s his unique personality and his strong will and determination to make a friend. I step close facing him and he presses his lowered head to my belly. “Hi you.” I pet the top of his head. “You’re okay here,” I whisper.”
