Introducing Pip! And another calf story…

Pip was born last Friday afternoon happy and healthy. Her mama loved her and licked her from head to toe.

And back again!
I let them be and get aquatinted for awhile. When I came to check, the mama was resting and Pip was climbing on top of her try to get her up so she could eat! I kicked the mama up and Pip tried repeatedly to get her mouth full…

The wind had come up and the sun was fading. Pip was getting tiresome. And her mama wouldn’t stand still.
To the barn, we went! With no time to lose getting Pip’s mama in the squeeze chute and her some groceries!
Ticklish tits are a serious issue!!
